Anglo Sierra Leone Lodge Installation
“On 7 June, I had the absolute pleasure of attending one of my favourite lodges to visit Anglo Sierra Leone Lodge No. 9416.
Congratulations to Zac Smith on going in that big chair again a truly great meeting with the ritual absolutely on point. And the singing… what can I say? Outstanding! I do enjoy singing at meetings, but I always feel a bit out voiced at this one the harmony was next level.
You were all so welcoming. It was lovely to be back with you after some time away. Great to see everyone again and to be so well looked after at the festive board. My wine glass was constantly topped up thanks to the stewards and it needed to be with all the heartfelt and beautiful speeches throughout the afternoon.
It was clear how much love and respect everyone has for the newly appointed Worshipful Master, and the Past Master’s speech to his oldest friend was particularly touching.
I missed a few speeches thanks to a wine-filled bladder (cheers again to the stewards lol), but I did catch what was without a doubt the best rendition of the Master’s Song I’ve ever heard and I’ve sung it myself plenty of times! A trio of singers and perfect harmonies made it truly memorable.
Everyone in that lodge members and guests alike contributed to what was a wonderful day. I even won on the raffle and received a gift for being a regular visitor.
Thank you all again it was an absolute joy.”
